Bitcoin Price 19/03/2025: Investors Await US FOMC, BTC Priced at $83.800

Bitcoin (BTC), the main cryptocurrency on the market, is rising this Tuesday, 19/03/2024, trading at US$ 83.833,09 (approximately R$ 479.109,87 and €76.850,44).

BTC has gained 1,5% in the last 24 hours and 1,6% in the week, while investors closely monitor the market's next moves amid expectations about US monetary policy.

Similarly, most of the major altcoins are attempting a rally. ETH is rising to $2.026,32 with a gain of 7%. XRP is trading at $2,34 with a gain of 3.4%. ADA remained stable above the $0,7232 zone. Solana is trading at $128,61 with a gain of 4%.

Investors will be closely watching the Federal Reserve’s quarterly projections today at 14:14 p.m. ET, known as the Summary of Economic Projections (SEP), for signals about the next steps in monetary policy. They will also be paying close attention to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s remarks during his press conference scheduled for 30:XNUMX p.m. ET.

Bitcoin moves ahead of FOMC decision

Last week, BTC faced intense volatility, reaching $77.000, its lowest price in four months. Despite this, it managed to stay above $80.000 and avoid further significant devaluations.

Attempts to break above $85.000 were met with swift rejections, resulting in further declines. Over the weekend, the price fell below $82.000, and on Monday, it was rejected again before reaching $85.000.

On Tuesday, the cryptocurrency fell to $81.500, marking a new multi-day low. However, there was a subsequent recovery, taking the price to the $84.000 range.

More volatility is expected throughout the day, with the Federal Reserve’s announcement on interest rates expected. While the majority of the market expects rates to remain unchanged, past history shows that BTC tends to react to such decisions.
