U.S. stocks opened higher, the three major indexes closed collectively higher. The Nasdaq rose 2.27 per cent, the S&P 500 rose 1.76 per cent, and the Dow rose 1.42 per cent. Tesla rose nearly 12%, the biggest one-day gain since 7 November last year. Nvidia, Amazon, Meta rose more than 3%, Google rose more than 2%, Apple, Nifty rose more than 1%, Microsoft rose slightly; Intel fell slightly.AMD closed up nearly 7%, the best one-day performance since February 2024.
