Bitcoin Loses $80K Support and Could Drop to $72K
- Bitcoin Loses Crucial $80K Support
- Instability in global markets influences cryptocurrencies.
- Pay attention to the next support at $76.650 as an indication of future movements.
On Sunday 06/04/25, Bitcoin's trajectory was marked by a significant loss of support, with the price of the cryptocurrency falling below US$80.000 and threatening to reach US$72.000. This movement occurred in a context of instability in the financial markets, amplified by the recent tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump and the countermeasures adopted by China.
At the time of publication, the price of BTC is now quoted at $79.044,33 with a 5% drop in the last 24 hours.
De agreement with Jesse Colombo, in a graphical demonstration of Bitcoin, there is a possibility that, with the loss of the US$ 80 thousand support, BTC could fall to close to US$ 62.500.
'Many people are highlighting how well Bitcoin has held up in the face of this collapse. However, if it breaks out of this triangle pattern, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies could be next to fall.'
Despite the long-term potential, the short-term outlook requires caution from cryptocurrency investors. The unstable macroeconomic environment and possible further declines in the US stock markets could put additional pressure on the cryptocurrency market.
Some altcoins have shown strength, but experts advise waiting for a more consistent improvement in market sentiment before making larger investments. The big question that remains is: which cryptocurrencies will be able to accompany a Bitcoin recovery?
Bitcoin Price Analysis
Bitcoin bulls have failed to sustain the price above the crucial resistance line, and now the focus is on the $80.000 support. Should this level be definitively broken, the price could drop to $76.650 and, if the selling pressure continues, even to $72.500.
The 20-day exponential moving average and the relative strength index (RSI) indicate a precarious balance between supply and demand, pointing to a possible stabilization or decline depending on further developments.
