Wall Street shorts netted $127bn from 2 April to Monday
Data from Ortex Technologies, a data and analytics firm, shows that short sellers targeting US companies booked profits of $127bn from 2 April to Monday. Shorting gains against US companies with market capitalisations of $1bn and above were $189bn from the start of 2025 to Monday, the data showed.
