U.S. stocks closed sharply lower, with the Dow falling 2.48%, the Nasdaq dropping 2.55%, and the S&P 500 index declining 2.36%. Major tech stocks fell across the board, with Nvidia and Oracle down more than 4%, Amazon and Meta down more than 3%, Microsoft and Google dropping over 2%, and Apple falling nearly 2%. Tesla fell nearly 6% as the company delayed plans to manufacture an affordable version of the Model Y in the U.S.
