Swiss Major Supermarket Chain Spar Plans to Support Bitcoin Payments Nationwide in Switzerland
Following a successful Bitcoin payment pilot, Swiss major supermarket chain Spar plans to launch Bitcoin payments across Switzerland. The Spar branch in Zug began accepting Bitcoin payments via the Lightning Network in early April, using DFX Swiss's OpenCryptoPay platform, an open peer-to-peer standard designed for face-to-face crypto transactions.
