Michael Saylor’s firm Strategy slowed its Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) purchases last week as the price approached $100,000, acquiring 1,895 BTC for $180.3 million at an average price of $95,167 per coin between April 28 and May 4.

This purchase marked one of the smallest weekly acquisitions by Strategy in 2025, significantly lower than the 15,355 BTC bought the previous week, representing an 87% decrease.

In contrast, Semler Scientific increased its Bitcoin holdings, buying 167 BTC for $16.2 million at an average price of $97,093 per coin from April 30 to May 2.

This purchase was at least 50% higher than Semler’s previous acquisition of 111 BTC announced on April 25.

As of May 2, Semler held 3,634 BTC, acquired for a total of $322.3 million at an average price of $88,668 per Bitcoin.

Meanwhile, Strategy’s Bitcoin holdings stood at 555,450 BTC as of May 4, acquired at an average price of $68,550 per coin.

On May 1, Strategy reported a 13.7% BTC yield for the first quarter of 2025, reflecting the percentage change in the ratio between its Bitcoin holdings and diluted shares.

This yield is close to Strategy’s 15% target for the year.

Year to date, Strategy’s gains on Bitcoin investments reached $5.8 billion, aligning with its annual goal of $10 billion.

Michael Saylor also revealed that the company has doubled its capital plan to $42 billion in equity and $42 billion in fixed income to fund further Bitcoin purchases.

At the time of reporting, the Bitcoin price was $94,117.11.
