Key Uniswap DAO Representative Pepo Resigns from Governance, Accuses Foundation of Undermining Community Governance
PANews reported on May 7 that according to CoinDesk, a key representative of the Uniswap DAO, Pepo, announced his withdrawal from governance this Monday. This anonymous representative, holding 455,000 UNI tokens (worth approximately $3 million), accused the nonprofit Uniswap Foundation on social media of sidelining community governance and monopolizing decision-making power. This conflict exposes the deep-seated contradictions in DeFi protocol governance. Although Uniswap Foundation Executive Director Devin Walsh emphasized the importance of representative feedback, Pepo pointed out that the organization tends to operate in a closed manner rather than open collaboration. In March of this year, the DAO approved a grant of $165 million to the foundation for ecosystem development, but some representatives questioned the lack of transparency in fund usage.
