According to on-chain analyst Ember's monitoring, the "whale with a 0% success rate in shorting ETH at recent peaks" has started operating: In the past 50 minutes, he borrowed 5,000 ETH (approximately $12.45 million) from Aave and shorted it at a price of $2,491. Last time, he shorted 10,000 ETH and managed to close the position before ETH surged, losing only $430,000. If he hadn't closed the position, he would have faced a loss of $7 million by now.
