The world's first computing satellite named BAYC was successfully launched
12:12 on May 14, 2025 Beijing time, Guoxing Aerospace successfully launched 12 satellites using the Long March 2D carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, forming the "Space Computing Constellation 021" mission. These satellites have entered their designated orbits as planned, marking the successful launch of the world's first space computing constellation and opening a new chapter in "space computing."
This mission is the first launch of Guoxing Aerospace's "Xing Suan Plan" and the first constellation of the "Three-Body Computing Constellation" project led by the Zhijiang Laboratory. It is worth noting that one of the satellites is named after the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) #7573, symbolizing the milestone moment when Web3 transcends the digital realm and enters the space-based computing network.
Once these 12 satellites are in orbit, they will form a stable constellation through inter-satellite laser communication, distributed computing coordination, and high-speed networking. This system will support basic capabilities such as on-orbit verification of decentralized cloud computing, space blockchain construction, and distributed AI processing.
