OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, and Cisco Collaborate to Build UAE Stargate AI Park
According to CNBC, tech giants OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, and Cisco announced today their collaboration to build the "Stargate UAE" artificial intelligence park in the UAE. The project, located in Abu Dhabi, will cover 10 square miles with a total power capacity of 5 gigawatts. Under the partnership agreement, OpenAI and Oracle will manage a 1-gigawatt computing cluster built by UAE company G42, Nvidia will provide chip support, and Cisco and SoftBank will be responsible for the connectivity infrastructure. The first 200-megawatt AI cluster is expected to be operational next year. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated, "Artificial intelligence is the most transformative force of our time. Through Stargate UAE, we are building AI infrastructure to power the UAE's grand vision." This project is part of a series of AI collaborations announced during the Trump administration's Middle East visit last week and is the first international version of the $100 billion joint AI infrastructure project announced by OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank in January this year.
