David Sacks on Bitcoin Reserves Again: The Key is How to Fund it Through the Treasury or Commerce Department
According to ChainCatcher, as reported by Cointelegraph, during a fireside chat at the Bitcoin 2025 conference, the White House's head of crypto affairs, David Sacks, told the two co-founders of Gemini that while he "cannot promise anything," the U.S. government does have avenues to purchase more Bitcoin. If the government can fund the purchase in a "budget-neutral" manner without taxing or increasing the ever-growing national debt, then the U.S. can buy more Bitcoin.
