xAI’s Grok AI Comes to Telegram This Summer
In his X announcement, Durov said that this summer, over 1 billion users on Telegram will gain access to the best AI technology on the market – Grok, X’s integrated chatbot.
Telegram’s founder said that he and Elon Musk have agreed to a 1-year partnership to bring Grok to the messaging app’s user base and integrate the chatbot across all the applications on the platform.
Durov also said that this move strengthens Telegram’s financial position – the app will receive $300 million in cash and equity from xAI, and 50% of the revenue from xAI’s subscriptions that are sold via the app.
Telegram’s founder also shared a video detailing the collaboration between Grok and the app. Grok AI will be accessible via Telegram’s Search and pinned for all users.
