DCG Survey: Most Americans Support Decentralized AI, Believing It Better Promotes Innovation
According to a report by Jinse Finance, a poll conducted by the cryptocurrency conglomerate DCG in collaboration with Harris shows that the vast majority of the 2,036 Americans surveyed "believe that decentralized AI is more likely to support innovation and progress than centralized AI." Julie Stitzel, DCG's Senior Vice President of Policy, stated, "Three-quarters of Americans think that if the transformative power of AI is not concentrated in the hands of a few large companies, it will benefit more people." The poll also reveals that 88% of respondents believe "they should have more control if AI uses their personal information and data," 67% think "centralized AI is more biased," and 59% say AI should be treated as a "public good," which should be "open to the public and not strictly regulated." DCG has already made significant inroads into the decentralized AI field through its subsidiary Yuma.
