Gavin Wood: Personally, I do not intend to issue new tokens based on the JAM protocol
Gavin Wood, the founder of Polkadot, responded on the Polkadot forum regarding the issuance of JAM Token, stating: Personally, I do not intend to issue new tokens based on the JAM protocol, nor do I think it would be wise for Parity and the Web3 Foundation to issue such tokens, although the leadership of these organizations can decide for themselves. I generally oppose actions that are unlikely to bring actual net benefits to Polkadot. However, I do continuously explore ideas that may bring long-term value to Polkadot, which sometimes involves new tokens, but these tokens are usually symbiotic with DOT rather than replacing it.
