MapleStory Executive: Strengthening Anti-Cheat Systems and Delaying Lottery Rewards to Curb Abuse
Keith, the head and strategic director of MapleStory, stated that the platform has recently faced increasingly frequent skill manipulation and network tampering incidents, which have undermined the gaming experience. To address this issue, MapleStoryU has upgraded its skill verification system and expanded monitoring to include boss battles and the beginner phase to counteract abuse.
In addition, the official team has introduced a three-day delay mechanism for distributing lottery rewards, allowing for behavioral review before prizes are issued. As detection capabilities improve, this delay will be shortened accordingly.
The platform is also building a stronger core protection system, including data tampering defenses, account creation cost settings, and advanced behavioral recognition tools, to more effectively anticipate and prevent cheating.
Keith emphasized that MapleStoryU will continue to maintain a fair gaming environment, ensuring every player's investment and experience are protected.
