US Senate Delays Review of New Sanctions Against Russia
According to CCTV News, on June 19 local time, the U.S. Senate postponed its review of a new sanctions package against Russia. Herman Gref, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Sberbank of Russia, stated that in the context of easing Russia-U.S. relations, the bank is holding talks with American partners, but these are currently only "tentative contacts." On June 16 local time, U.S. President Trump announced that the United States would temporarily suspend sanctions against Russia in hopes of reaching an agreement.
