 Vitalik, the founder of Ethereum, reposted a tweet, saying that Ethereum Layer 1 is the world's ledger.

The tweet describes Ethereum Layer 1 as: Ethereum Layer 1 will become the main ledger of the world. Anyone can view, use, add data or functionality without permission. It has trust neutrality. It has censorship resistance. It has tamper resistance and tamper visibility (achieved through punishment mechanisms and transparency).

Continuously achieve progressive decentralization. It has a world-class large community, which always remains highly vigilant, as there will always be patient and resourceful forces trying to subvert the system. Fortunately, as Ethereum continues to grow and mature, this subversion will become increasingly difficult.
