Macro & Hot Topics

  1. Trump Media says its $400 million stock buyback plan will not affect its Bitcoin reserve strategy. Trump Media & Technology Group (NASDAQ: DJT) announced plans to buy back $400 million in stock. The company stated that this repurchase will not impact its previously announced Bitcoin allocation plan, which is backed by $2.3 billion in private funding and has been approved by the SEC. Trump Media’s businesses include the Truth Social platform and Truth.Fi fintech services; the Bitcoin allocation is funded by around 50 institutional investors. According to its latest statement, the firm currently holds about $3 billion in cash and will remain flexible in exploring additional strategic opportunities.
  2. Fed Governor Bowman hints support for a July rate cut. Yesterday, Bowman said: “If inflationary pressures are contained, I will support lowering the policy rate as soon as the next meeting to bring it closer to neutral and maintain a healthy labor market.” Bowman, who has been focused on inflation risks over the past year, added that this year's expected economic slack would make the tariff-induced price increases “small and one-off.” She described the labor market as solid, with full employment expected, but also cited weaknesses such as waning vitality, slower growth, and narrow jobs expansion. Therefore, she believes the Fed should “better weigh downside employment risks” in future decisions. This is her first substantive comment on the economy since being nominated by Trump and confirmed as Fed Vice Chair for Supervision this spring.
  3. Iran confirms agreement to US-brokered ceasefire with Israel. According to Reuters, senior Iranian officials confirmed that Tehran has agreed to a US-proposed, Qatar-brokered ceasefire with Israel. Previously, President Trump announced Israel and Iran had reached a full ceasefire agreement.
  4. Strategy adds 245 more Bitcoins, holdings reach 592,345. Yesterday, Michael Saylor announced his company Strategy had purchased 245 Bitcoins at about $105,856 each, totaling around $26 million. As of June 22, 2025, Strategy holds 592,345 BTC (total cost $41.87 billion, average cost $70,681 per BTC). Reportedly, Strategy’s Bitcoin return so far in 2025 is 19.2%.

Market Updates

1. BTC saw wide short-term swings, dropping below 100,000 but then rebounding sharply. Over $494 million in liquidations in the past 24 hours, mainly of short positions, as most markets turned higher; $BR and $BANANAS31 led the platform gainers.
2. Iran’s retaliatory attack on the US was milder than expected; US equity indices dipped sharply intraday but then rallied, Tesla rose 8%, crude oil at one point dropped over 10% from the day’s high.

3. According to Bitget’s BTC/USDT liquidation map: At 105,425 USDT, a drop of 2,000 points to 103,425 would liquidate over $299 million in longs; a 2,000-point rise to 107,425 would liquidate over $251 million in shorts. Longs face much higher liquidation risk than shorts—manage leverage prudently and avoid large-scale forced liquidation on market swings.

X Highlights

  1. CryptoChan: Metaphysical forecasting: Ultimate BTC bull market timeline By aligning MVRV (market cap/realized value) cycles with halving dates, this BTC bull market likely plays out as follows: bottoming at the end of June, a new peak in mid-August, a bottom from late August to early September, and cycle top between mid-September and mid-October. History doesn’t repeat exactly, but with MVRV cycles, patterns are traceable—documenting this “metaphysical” forecast as a point of reference. 2. Jingle: Adding to the pool = selling or accumulating? Understanding one-sided pools On Solana and AMMs, one-sided liquidity pools are essentially ways for whales to either offload or accumulate with stealth. In a hot market, adding meme tokens into a pool allows whales to covertly sell for SOL; when prices fall, adding SOL lets them accumulate memes cheaply. Rule of thumb: “single-sided SOL adding is accumulating; single-sided meme adding is selling.” Use tools to track these changes and whale behavior, but remember, all signals are just probabilities, not certainties. Be flexible; single-sided pools can help DCA builds or exits. Original: https://x.com/cryptobraveHQ/status/1936668169076425144
  3. Eric (Day Trader): The classic three-step “trend reversal” strategy for short-term longs How to catch long opportunities on short-term downtrends? Three key steps: 1) Price suppressed by short-term MAs (e.g., EMA9/10/20), then accelerates lower with a long lower wick—shows one-off bearish exodus; 2) Price reclaims MAs—confirms the reversal; 3) Retest and hold the MAs—provides a long entry. You can tweak MA parameters, but the key is nailing this sequence. This is a classic, high-conviction long setup—try it in practice for the “feel.” Original: https://x.com/CycleStudies/status/1937118318986670392
  4. Phyrex: Beyond the liquidations—oil expectations are steering the market Some see today’s mass liquidations as manipulation, but I agree with biancoresearch: oil expectations are the core variable. Polymarket pegs the Strait of Hormuz blockade probability at just 30%—mainstream opinion sees limited ability for Iran to block, so oil impact is contained. War progress is hard to predict, but short-term oil trends matter most now. As long as no real blockade, oil falling to $68 has helped ease tension. BTC may be volatile but no panic selling is evident; most big money action is short-term speculation. Key support for BTC remains, but if accumulation at the highs grows, short-term risk rises.
