Vitalik co-authored the EIP-7983 proposal to set a gas limit for a single Ethereum transaction

according to Cointelegraph, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum researcher Toni Wahrstätter jointly wrote proposal EIP-7983, which proposes to set the Gas limit for a single Ethereum transaction to 16.77 million.

The proposal aims to reduce the risk of denial of service (DoS) attacks, optimize the performance of the zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM), and balance overall Gas usage efficiency.
