Vietnam uncovers 30,000-phone "farm" used to fake user activity for project airdrops
Foresight News reports, citing Cointelegraph, that Corey Wilton, CEO of Mirai Labs, recently revealed the existence of a large-scale "phone farm" near Ho Chi Minh City. This facility houses around 30,000 smartphones dedicated to manipulating cryptocurrency airdrop campaigns. Each device is equipped with an individual SIM card and device fingerprint, allowing them to spoof IP addresses and making detection difficult. The main business of this "farm" is to manufacture and sell DIY phone farm equipment, producing over 1,000 specialized phones per week and packaging them into "farm boxes" of about 20 phones each for sale to international clients. These devices are used to fake user activity and seize reward tokens originally intended for genuine early users.
