Trump Says the US Will Hold Consultations with Other Countries on Tariff Issues
According to a report by Jinse Finance, citing CCTV News, U.S. President Trump stated that the U.S. will hold consultations with various countries on tariff issues and maintains an open stance toward trade negotiations, including with Europe. Meanwhile, the European Union will also come to the U.S. to discuss trade matters. Trump also mentioned that the U.S. has already reached some trade agreements. Recently, Trump sent letters to the leaders of more than 20 countries, stating that new tariffs will be imposed on these countries starting August 1. He also announced that, beginning August 1, a 50% tariff will be imposed on all copper imported into the United States.
