Chair of U.S. Public Company Oversight Board Resigns at SEC Chair’s Request
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Erica Williams, Chair of the U.S. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), has resigned following a request from U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Paul Atkins. In an email sent to PCAOB staff, Williams stated that her last working day will be July 22. Williams began serving as PCAOB Chair in January 2022 and was reappointed in June 2024.
