Sam Altman: Conversations Between Users and ChatGPT Are Not Legally Confidential
According to Jinse Finance, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently discussed artificial intelligence and legal regulation on a podcast, stating that AI needs a legal system or policy framework. He mentioned that conversations between users and ChatGPT are currently not legally confidential. Altman noted that this could raise user privacy concerns in litigation, as OpenAI is currently required by law to provide these conversation records. "I think this is really bad. I believe conversations with AI should have the same privacy protections as those with a therapist—and a year ago, no one would have even thought about this issue," Altman said.
