  • Fake Bitget airdrop scam targets SHIB holders with a phishing email promising false rewards.
  • Shiba Inu RSI neutral at 50.87, while MACD signals increasing bearish momentum.
  • Phishing scams increasingly mimic legitimate crypto campaigns to deceive and exploit users.

A fraudulent airdrop email to the holders of Shiba Inu has sparked new scam warning alerts in the crypto world. The phishing message, under the alleged Bitget Web3, is deceitfully promising BWB airdrop rewards. Security experts have identified the campaign as phishing and have verified its goal of stealing consumer data and properties.

– “Multichain gas fee coverage”
– “Access to Launchpad & GetDrop”

The fraudulent message employs deceptive wording to create a sense of urgency regarding a non-existent opportunity. It contains the following phrases: Secure early airdrop points, Multichain gas fee coverage, and others. The claim airdrop link leads visitors to a questionable web address, which may harm their wallets.

The fake message originates from a sender address “noreply@resova.com,” not associated with any legitimate crypto project. The actual Bitget Wallet team has confirmed it does not use third-party promotional mailers. Shiba Inu community leaders have urged users to report the phishing attempt and avoid clicking any links in such emails.

Security Reminder for the SHIB Community

The SHIBArmy has been alerted with a direct appeal to stay cautious and verify all official announcements. Moderators in the community indicated that there is no ongoing airdrops program under the Bitget Web3 community or like names.

Instead of calling the recipients by name, the phony letter begins with general greetings such as, Hello Valued Customer. This technique is typical of wide phishing campaigns intended for large-scale audiences. Lack of personalization and application of irrelevant domains provide additional pieces of evidence of fraud.

Community leaders have cautioned that scams tend to rise when prices are rallying. The SHIB community has always been a target since the times of intense price action. An increased level of caution is also required to avoid falling into the trap of apparently lucrative yet fictional prospects.

Shiba Inu Technical Analysis

Shiba Inu (SHIB) continues its upward movement despite the recent scam scare. The SHIB recorded a 2.58% gain, bringing the price to $0.00001371. This positive momentum comes after a short pullback from recent highs.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is 50.87, which implies a neutral zone. Meanwhile, the moving average convergence divergence (MACD) indicator indicates a bearish crossover. The MACD line crosses below the signal line, indicating strengthening of selling pressure. This, along with the negative red histogram, indicates a bearish momentum.

Scammers Imitate Official Airdrops to Exploit Crypto Hype

Phishing attempts like the fake Bitget email are becoming more sophisticated, often mimicking legitimate campaign language. Scammers use terms tied to real promotions, such as “Launchpad access” or “gas fee coverage,” to mislead recipients. As crypto interest grows, so does the effort from bad actors to exploit new and existing users.

Despite warnings, many still fall victim due to the professional look of scam emails. Domains like “resova.com” have no ties to any major crypto exchanges or wallets. Users are encouraged to check URLs, verify official accounts, and avoid clicking unknown links.

With SHIB currently performing well in the market, attackers may continue targeting its holders through copycat airdrops and false promotional emails. The safest course remains simple—verify through official websites or support channels. Strong community awareness will play a crucial role in keeping assets safe and fraud at bay.
