Hut 8 Subsidiary American Bitcoin and Gryphon Merger Moves to Shareholder Voting Stage
According to ChainCatcher, citing GlobeNewswire, Hut 8 announced today that its subsidiary American Bitcoin and Gryphon Digital Mining have entered the shareholder voting phase for their share exchange merger transaction.
Gryphon will hold a special shareholders' meeting on August 27, with shareholders of record as of July 25 eligible to vote. The transaction is expected to be completed in early September 2025. The merged company will operate under the American Bitcoin brand and be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "ABTC".
The Gryphon board of directors has unanimously recommended that shareholders vote in favor of the transaction.
