SharpLink Gaming, known as the “Ethereum version of MicroStrategy,” expanded its ETH treasury by acquiring 83,561 ETH for $264.5 million. The company now holds 521,939 ETH. These actions position SharpLink as the second-largest corporate ETH holder globally.
SharpLink’s leadership executed this acquisition through an ongoing At-the-Market (ATM) equity offering . This strategic move increased SharpLink’s ETH concentration to 3.66, indicating the company’s strengthening commitment to Ethereum.
Increased ETH holdings have immediate effects on the cryptocurrency market’s perception of corporate investments in digital assets. SharpLink’s aggressive strategy mirrors MicroStrategy’s approach with Bitcoin, highlighting differing strategies among institutional players.
Financially, the acquisition raised SharpLink’s total ETH holdings’ valuation to nearly $1.91 billion. Ethereum remains the primary asset pursued, reinforcing its role as a key player in digital corporate treasuries.
