US Stocks Open Steady as Markets Focus on Central Bank Symposium and Wave of Retail Earnings
According to Jinse Finance, the U.S. stock market remained steady after opening on Monday, as investors focused on the White House meeting regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Meanwhile, traders are preparing for upcoming retail earnings reports and the Jackson Hole Symposium later this week. The three major U.S. stock indexes fluctuated slightly at the open. Karl Schamotta, Chief Market Strategist at Corpay, noted that the market remains confident the Federal Reserve will cut rates in September, but data released over the past two weeks has not provided solid evidence to support a more accommodative policy.
