IOTA launches trade finance solution Salus to address the $2.5 trillion trade finance gap
ChainCatcher reported that IOTA has launched a blockchain-based trade finance platform called Salus, aiming to address the global $2.5 trillion trade finance gap through tokenization technology.
Salus focuses on critical mineral supply chains, utilizing IOTA and TWIN trade data infrastructure to convert traditional paper-based trade documents into verifiable digital assets. The platform manages the digital identities of supply chain participants through IOTA Identity, tokenizes key trade documents such as warehouse receipts and bills of lading into NFTs, and anchors them on the IOTA ledger. This solution complies with international digital trade standards, providing transparency, speed, and liquidity support for the trade of critical minerals such as copper, lithium, and rare earth elements.
