Polkadot DAO passes proposal to cap DOT token supply at 2.1 billion
BlockBeats news, on September 15, Polkadot DAO has passed Referendum No. 1710, which limits the supply of DOT tokens to 2.1 billions, with 81% support. This will replace the current unlimited model of minting 120 millions DOT per year, and will reduce emissions by decreasing the issuance of new DOT every two years.
