U.S. government "shutdown" continues as Senate rejects temporary funding bill for the tenth time
Show original
Jinse Finance reported that on October 16 local time, the U.S. Senate once again failed to advance the Republican temporary funding bill, with a vote of 51 to 45. It is reported that Republicans need 60 votes to advance the bill, which would provide government funding until the end of November. This marks the tenth consecutive vote in the Senate over the past two weeks, following the U.S. government shutdown, in which the temporary funding bill has been rejected.
