Solana Saga discontinued just two years after launch, shifting focus to second-generation model Seeker
ChainCatcher reported that Solana Mobile has announced the termination of software and security updates for its first crypto phone, Saga, ending the device's product lifecycle after just over two years since its launch in May 2023. According to the official announcement, approximately 20,000 Saga devices worldwide will no longer receive further support.
Saga once attracted attention with its Seed Vault wallet feature, but after a brief meme coin airdrop craze, sales fell short of expectations. Four months after launch, the price dropped from around $1,000 to $599. Currently, Solana Mobile has shifted its focus to the second-generation product, Seeker, which is set to launch this summer.
