The United States establishes a "Fraud Center Joint Task Force" targeting Southeast Asian pig-butchering scam networks
BlockBeats News, on November 13, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, together with the Department of Justice and other agencies, announced the formation of the Scam Center Strike Force. Led by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia and coordinated with the DOJ, Treasury Department, State Department, and multiple agencies, the task force aims to combat "pig-butchering" scams conducted through crypto transactions, with a focus on transnational networks in Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, and other regions.
