Bitget Accelerates Web3 education, Sponsoring the WAIB Summit
Bitget , the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), is making significant strides in cultivating the next generation of Web3 talent, by partnering with the upcoming WAIB Summit Hackathon. This initiative is part of Blockchain4Youth, a program that includes a comprehensive suite of educational programs including hackathons, masterclasses, and workshops. With a bold, long-term goal to empower 1 million students by the end of 2026, the company is demonstrating its dedication to shaping the decentralized future.
Recognized as one of the largest Web3 & AI innovation challenges in Europe, this edition of the WAIB Summit Hackathon takes place at KU Leuven, Belgium, from November 14-16, gathering students, developers, entrepreneurs, and top researchers to actively shape the future of Decentralized Intelligence. As a Silver sponsor, Bitget is actively engaging with the next generation of builders. The company will participate in a panel discussion titled "The Future of Web3 & AI: Empowering the Next Generation," where it will share its expertise on how these pivotal technologies will reshape creativity, identity, and opportunity.
The WAIB hackathon is designed to meet the rising demand for talent by challenging participants to build groundbreaking projects that leverage the synergy between AI frameworks—such as LLMs, AI agents, and decentralized AI—and core blockchain technology like Ethereum, Solana, and ICP. Participants will innovate across four competitive tracks, including building an AI-Powered Consumer App, creating a fully functional web app purely by conversing with Caffeine.ai, designing and launching an AI-generated digital influencer, and developing applications that fundamentally change how people discover, compare, and purchase products using advanced AI tools.
Bitget’s dedication is a direct response to the explosive, interconnected growth of the cryptocurrency and AI markets. These two sectors represent the highest potential for expansion in the upcoming decade, demanding immediate investment in human capital. The global crypto market size is expected to reach a staggering $18.15 trillion by 2030, reflecting a substantial 30% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), according to data from Mordor Intelligence. Similarly, the Artificial Intelligence market is set for similar expansion, with Grand View Research projecting a 31.5% CAGR between 2025 and 2033, expecting the sector to soar to $3.5 trillion USD in 2033.
Such phenomenal market development will generate immense demand for new talent. As a recent study from Bitget Research highlighted, AI employment has already seen an explosive 75–100% year-over-year job listing increase, with AI-related job openings globally crossing the one million mark. Projections suggest that widespread blockchain adoption could lead to 1.5 million jobs created by 2030.
Ignacio Aguirre Franco, CMO of Bitget, emphasized the strategic importance of supporting educational initiatives “Web3 holds incredible potential to impact sectors worldwide, but growth at this scale is impossible without the necessary human capital. Our dedication ensures we provide the best young minds and real-world challenges needed to transform theory into valuable industry solutions. We are committed to fostering the ‘Next Billion Minds’ that will truly unlock the decentralized future.”
