Vitalik Buterin releases Kohaku privacy framework to advance Ethereum privacy protection upgrades

Foresight News reported, according to The Block, that Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has launched a privacy protection framework called Kohaku at the Devcon conference. This open-source toolkit aims to enhance privacy and security within the Ethereum ecosystem, providing modular components that enable developers to build secure, privacy-focused wallets without relying on centralized third parties. Kohaku has already integrated protocols such as Railgun and Privacy Pools, allowing users to compliantly conceal funds and provide "proof of innocence." At the same time, the Ethereum Foundation has established a privacy team consisting of 47 researchers, engineers, and cryptographers, dedicated to making privacy a "first-class property" of Ethereum. Vitalik Buterin stated that privacy is freedom, and Ethereum is on a privacy upgrade path aimed at delivering real-world privacy and security.
