Opera's MiniPay wallet launches "Local Payments" feature
Jinse Finance reported that Opera's MiniPay wallet has launched the "Pay like a local" feature, allowing users in Argentina and Brazil to use stablecoins for payments in stores or for services via local payment systems. This feature connects USDT balances with the PIX and Mercado Pago payment systems, enabling users to complete payments by scanning a QR code, with USDT instantly converted into local currency. MiniPay plans to expand this feature to more markets and, through partnerships, provide two-way crypto-to-fiat exchange channels in Latin America and Canada. As a product launched by browser developer Opera, MiniPay is a stablecoin wallet built on the Celo blockchain. The newly launched "Pay like a local" feature is designed to enable users in Argentina and Brazil to directly use stablecoins for payments in local stores and service scenarios.
