  • Lark Davis says Bitcoin 4-year cycle is dead.
  • He says macro backdrop suggests the market has evolved.
  • This stirs hope for altseason peak phase to play out soon.

With the price of Bitcoin (BTC) slowly dropping to lower prices, most analysts have been looking to the charts. The most common answer has been that the Bitcoin 4-year bull cycle has run its course, meaning the bear market has begun. However, others state that the 4-year bull cycle is now obsolete, meaning changing dynamics are underway. In particular, Lark Davis says Bitcoin 4-year cycle is dead and macro backdrop suggests market evolution.

Lark Davis Says Bitcoin 4-Year Cycle Is Dead

This bull cycle started out differently from most other bull cycles before it. This led to analysts looking closer to price charts to determine the differences. To start off, the price of Bitcoin (BTC), the pioneer crypto asset, went on to set a new ATH price before the Bitcoin Halving event occurred, a first of this phenomenon. This led to a sudden spike in the price of BTC, one that led to a massive correction .

In detail, when a bullish altseason was expected in Q1 following the Bitcoin Halving year, what came instead was a devastating market correction that sent BTC back down to Bitcoin Halving time prices. While this correction finally allowed ETH to bottom and start moving towards the price direction of its previous ATH price, ETH only went on to set 1 new ATH price this cycle.

Now, with both BTC and ETH on the decline, and altseason nowhere near where it is supposed to be, analysts grow less and less bullish over a market recovery. In fact, FUD is higher than it has been all cycle, and some seasoned analysts are calling for the Bitcoin bear cycle to have begun , solely based on the 4-year bull cycle blueprint. In contrast, others believe BTC is still holding strong and expect another rally soon.

Macro Backdrop Suggests Market Has Evolved

The upcoming rally is also expected to finally trigger altseason. This matches with many analysts saying that the bear market cannot begin without an altseason playing out. Still others state that the old 4-year cycle can no longer be considered as it is going obsolete. These naalysts say that market changes nd mass adoption mens the 4-year bull cycle is no longer in play and cannot dictate what comes next.

According to the classic 4-year cycle, Bitcoin just entered bear market territory.

This could only mean one thing.

Either the 4-year cycle is dead, or we've just entered a bear market.

Given the macro backdrop and how this market has evolved, I'm leaning toward the former… pic.twitter.com/T4Tld8NGL8

As we can see from the post above, Lark Davis is one such figure who says that it is more likely that the 4-year bull cycle is dead rather than BTC entering a bear market at the moment. He comes to this conclusion based on how the crypto market has evolved and says the macro backdrop, being the way it is at the moment, suggests the same.
