Russian man arrested for attacking cryptocurrency exchange with simulated hand grenade
ChainCatcher news, according to Decrypt, a 21-year-old Russian man has been arrested for attempting to rob a cryptocurrency exchange in Saint Petersburg.
According to reports, the suspect broke into the exchange's office located in an apartment hotel on Khersonska Street last Saturday, detonated two Airsoft replica grenades and set off a smoke bomb, then demanded that employees transfer all available cryptocurrency to his wallet. Experts later confirmed that the devices used were replicas with no actual destructive power.
