Anza Vice President: Working to reduce Solana block state costs, account creation rent will be reduced by 10 times
ChainCatcher reported that Brennan Watt, Vice President of Core Engineering at Solana research and development company Anza, stated at the Solana Breakpoint conference that proposal SIMD-0389 could reduce Solana account creation rent by 10 times, with the potential to scale up to a 100-fold reduction.
According to Anza's analysis of the security throttling mechanism, this change was discussed at the recent SolanaConf and could unlock broader adoption by reclaiming hundreds of millions of dormant SOL, while maintaining network security.
