Spot silver continues to surge, reaching a new record high above $83
According to Odaily, the international spot silver price surged past $80/ounce at Monday's opening, continuing its rally to a record high above $83, extending its historic uptrend as the year draws to a close. Spot silver has risen for six consecutive trading days, closing up 10% last Friday, marking its largest single-day gain since 2008. So far this year, spot silver has climbed over 185%, on track for its best annual performance since 1979. Analysts say the recent surge in silver is driven by speculative capital inflows and ongoing supply disruptions at major trading hubs following a short squeeze in October. (Golden Ten Data)
