Economist: The Federal Reserve may keep interest rates unchanged for a longer period
According to Odaily, Brian Jacobsen, Chief Economist at Annex Wealth Management, stated: "There is noise in the unemployment claims data, especially during the holiday period, but even so, it remains the best data for gauging the health of the labor market." He added: "Perhaps the biggest surprise of the new year is that the labor market started to improve in December, which means the Federal Reserve may keep interest rates unchanged for longer than previously expected."
