CMC Data Bug Causes BabyDoge to Temporarily Top Crypto Market Cap, CHEEMS Market Cap Surpasses USDT
BlockBeats News, January 6th, according to community feedback, the CoinMarketCap website experienced an unknown BUG, causing the market cap of the Meme coin BabyDoge to be calculated as $127.91 trillion, surpassing the crypto market (Bitcoin's market cap is $1.87 trillion), and the 24-hour percentage change was erroneously recorded as 100,549,628%.
Another coin affected by the BUG was the Meme coin CHEEMS, where the price was incorrectly changed by the BUG to $0.00103 (actual price is $0.00000103), and the market cap was adjusted to $1.94 trillion, surpassing USDT and XRP, briefly ranking 4th in the crypto market, with a falsely reported 24-hour percentage increase of 98,132%.
The BUG has since been swiftly resolved following community feedback.
