According to Odaily, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that the U.S. government "has begun marketing Venezuelan crude oil to global markets." She added: "The proceeds from the sale of Venezuelan crude oil and products will first be deposited into U.S.-controlled accounts at globally recognized banks. These funds will be allocated at the discretion of the U.S. government to benefit both the American and Venezuelan people."
