US Online Holiday Sales Reach All-Time High of $257.8 Billion: Adobe
Record-Breaking Online Holiday Sales in the U.S. for 2025
According to recent findings from Adobe released on January 7, 2025, Americans spent more online during the holiday season than ever before. Between November 1 and December 31, shoppers spent a total of $257.8 billion online, marking a 6.8% rise compared to the previous year and surpassing Adobe’s projected $253.4 billion.
Adobe’s analysis draws on direct e-commerce transactions and insights from over one trillion visits to U.S. retail websites. The surge in spending was largely attributed to the five-day stretch from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, which alone accounted for over $44 billion in online purchases.
