According to Bloomberg, Elon Musk announced that the social media platform X will make its algorithm accessible to everyone in a week. This release will include the code responsible for determining which posts and advertisements are suggested to users.
Musk, who owns X, shared on the platform that this process will be repeated every four weeks. Each update will come with detailed notes for developers, making it easier to track and understand any changes.

Musk did not elaborate on the reasons behind making X’s algorithm open source. The company has previously faced disputes with regulators regarding the content users see on the platform.
European authorities have intensified their examination of X, focusing on issues such as misinformation, insufficient content moderation, and a lack of transparency.
Last July, French officials requested access to X’s algorithm as part of an investigation into potential bias and manipulation. X declined to comply, arguing that the inquiry was politically driven.
