US ADP Employment Change Weekly Sees Modest Increase
According to data from Automatic Data Processing (ADP), the average number of weekly jobs added in the US private sector climbed to 11,750 for the four-week period ending December 20, up from a revised figure of 11,000. This indicates that while job growth continues in the private sector, the rate of hiring remains moderate.
Since the beginning of 2025, the weekly employment change has averaged 2,320. The highest level reached was 17,500 in November, while the lowest point was a decline of 11,750 thousand during the same timeframe.
Market Response
The release of this report did not notably affect the US Dollar. At the time of publication, the US Dollar Index (DXY) was trading near 99.00, reflecting a 0.15% increase for the day. Meanwhile, EUR/USD hovered around 1.1650, marking a 0.10% decrease, as market participants looked ahead to upcoming US CPI figures.
