Berachain Foundation: Lays off retail-focused marketing team, will focus on supporting 3-5 core applications
Foresight News reported that the Berachain Foundation has released its year-end update, announcing that it has laid off most of its retail-focused marketing team. Since October 10, and especially throughout 2024 to 2025, the "retail-first" strategy has generally yielded poor results across the cryptocurrency industry; the foundation is now shifting its resources toward fundamental development. The staff departures were amicable. It was also confirmed that its lead developer, Alberto, will be leaving. In the future, the foundation will concentrate its team’s efforts on 3-5 high-conviction applications, with the business and technical teams conducting deep, hands-on incubation; the focus will be on supporting projects whose revenue potential does not depend on crypto market volatility and that have low overlap with the existing ecosystem, providing them with exclusive PoL token incentives and substantial official support.
