BlackRock's assets under management rise to a record $14 trillion

Glonghui, January 15th | BlackRock attracted $342 billion in client funds in the fourth quarter, bringing its assets under management to a record $14 trillion. The company is integrating a series of recent acquisitions to accelerate its expansion into the private markets sector. In a statement released on Thursday announcing its full-year and quarterly results, BlackRock said investors made net long-term investments of $268 billion into its funds in the fourth quarter, with $181 billion flowing into its ETF business, bringing the total size of its ETF segment to $5.5 trillion. The strong inflows in the last three months of last year pushed the total annual fundraising—including money market funds and cash management funds—to $698 billion, setting a new historical record.
