Riot Platforms sells 1,080 BTC to purchase Rockdale land for data center development project
According to Odaily, Nasdaq-listed bitcoin mining company Riot Platforms has announced the sale of 1,080 bitcoins, using the proceeds of approximately $96 million to purchase the Rockdale property, with the aim of developing a data center project. In addition, the company has signed a data center leasing and service agreement with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), under which 25 megawatts of critical IT load capacity will be deployed at the Rockdale campus. The initial deployment will be carried out in phases, starting in January 2026 and completing by May 2026. (Globenewswire)
