Oops! TQL requests repayment of mistakenly issued commission funds
TQL Requests Repayment After Commission Miscalculation
Recent reports indicate that TQL, a major player in third-party logistics, has asked some of its brokers to return bonus payments that were mistakenly overpaid due to a payroll error. Multiple sources have confirmed that the company’s system incorrectly calculated commission rates, resulting in some brokers receiving a 25% commission instead of the intended 20%.
Employees affected by this discrepancy were informed via email that if the overpayment exceeded $1,000, they would be required to reimburse the difference. No in-person meetings were held to address questions or concerns from those impacted.
Further details shared on social media and verified by FreightWaves reveal that the accounts involved had been transferred to new brokers after previous employees left the company. While the original commission rate was 25%, the correct rate following the handover should have been 20%.
As of publication, TQL had not responded to inquiries sent to its press relations team.
